Smart and Sustainable Homes program
The Smart and Sustainable Homes program, in a joint initiative with its partners, is designing and building smart and sustainable homes throughout Queensland to address the local climate, the environment and the occupants changing needs over time. All homes built under the program address the Smart and Sustainable Homes Design Objectives which seek a balance between environmental, social and economic sustainability. These homes are a great opportunity for the public to see sustainability in action. Each house will be open to the public for at least 6 months.
