Climate Smart Buildings

Climate Smart Buildings enhances built environment asset management across the government sector by responding to and delivering programs involving initiatives associated with climate change.

Initiatives of energy and water conservation in government buildings, greenhouse gas emissions and issue affecting the sustainable built environment aim to address climate change through a range of policies and reforms.  Implementation of these initiatives supports the Queensland Government commitment in meeting the national greenhouse gas emission reduction target of 60% by 2050.

Climate Smart Buildings demonstrate government leadership through the adoption of industry best practice technologies and efficiencies.
